New Ford Mustang Snags Leading Role in "Drive"

Movie buff and Ford fan? Have we got a movie for you! Drive. Maybe you've heard of it. It started playing in movie theaters across the country just last week and is expected to stick around for quite some time. At least, that's what the reviews indicate.

The specific Ford model cast to play the role of the getaway car is none other than the new Ford Mustang GT 5.0 - a perfect choice given its bad-boy good looks and aggressive 412-hp core. Its cameo scene is as adrenaline-pumping as the trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAc23x2JJG0) suggests...and then some. If the Ford Mustang GT 5.0's power, fuel economy, and collection of new features and technological advancements hasn't been enough to woo you, seeing it in action, in Drive certainly will.

2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 - New/Enhanced Features

-    Specially-tuned Electric Power Assist Steering
-    Front and rear vented disc brakes (11.5-inches and 11.8-inches respectively)
-    Suspension
-    Integrated blind-spot mirrors
-    Message center
-    New MyKey technology

Speaking on the most recent evolvement of the Mustang, Derrick Kuzack, Group VP, Global Production Development, Ford, says "This all-new 5.0-liter engine is the next chapter in the development of the world-class Mustang powertrain portfolio. It's a thoroughly modern engine for the times, delivering the performance and fun-to-drive factor that enthusiasts want while improving the fuel economy."1
