How to Connect Ford Sync®

Connecting to Ford Sync® is simple. Just follow the simple steps below:

How to Connect to Ford Sync® 

1. Enable Bluetooth® on your smartphone and make it discoverable.
2. Choose “Add Device” on the SYNC® 3 touchscreen interface.
3. Find SYNC® on your smartphone in the list of pairable devices.
4. Check that the PIN displayed on your phone matches the one that appears on the screen. If not, or if nothing appears, enter the PIN from the SYNC® screen into your phone.
5. SYNC® will indicate whether the pairing is successful.
6. Choose to activate or deactivate the 911 Assist feature via your SYNC® 3 system.
7. Press the “Finish” button.
